About Us
Our store consists of three goldsmiths at our address in Aalborg. We design and create handmade, quality jewelry and we also certify jewelry and gemstones.
Finn Klitgaard, f. 1963
Finn is the owner of Carat Design. He was born and raised in Aalborg and was apprenticed as a goldsmith in 1984 at Hingelberg in Aarhus. After completing his apprenticeship, Finn worked as a goldsmith abroad for a period before returning to North Jutland in 1991 and establishing his own business.
After 16 years at the original address, the shop in 2007 moved to the neighboring property, where it is still located today – now with twice as much space for both the shop and the workshop.
Line Ekstrøm Baggesen, f. 1983
Line is from Aalborg, but trained goldsmith in 2011 in Frederikshavn. In the same year, she got second place at the DM for goldsmiths. Shortly after finishing her apprenticeship, she got a job and started at Carat Design.
